The “Palace” is a delightful
detached stone-built cottage dating from the 17th Century, tucked
away in the old area of the market town of Alston, known as the “ Butts.” This
is a well-equipped 2-bedroom cottage, sleeping 4/5. It retains many
period features with a wood burning stove in the sitting room for
winter evenings. At the rear is an attractive garden divided by the
Mill Race, overlooking the 18th Century church. It is only a short
walk into the town’s market square or into the open countryside.
The cottage benefits from all modern conveniences including dishwasher,
washing machine, tumble dryer, 28” TV with DVD and video. It
is fully equipped for your comfort; there is also secure cycle storage
and parking for 2 cars.
